regarding sales tax when i buy a car?

Eleni Mccier: i m goin to dallas, TX

Houston Venezia: You pay tax when registering the car when buying from a private party. If you registered it and paid sales tax in NE you wont pay sales tax again in TX but you will pay tag & tag related taxes in TX as well as a title fee and small registration fee. But, sales tax, just once.Realize that not having a tag from NE to TX might be a problem although most states give you a period of time after you bought it to drive without a tag....Show more

Eli Trapeni: The cause they enacted the earnings tax was once that excise taxes on a few models have been drawing near 50% so as to elevate the income the federal government had to function. As some distance as unlawful extraterrestrial beings, they aren't exempt from earnings taxes. After 183 days of bodily presence within the USA, they're viewed US citizens for tax functions, despite the fact that no longer for Immigration functions. As a former IRS auditor, I can let you k! now that many dossier tax returns, and many don't earn sufficient to owe any tax. They can get Tax Identification Numbers to take action, despite the fact that they can't get a Social Security Number....Show more

Linwood Mccory: First time you register a car after you bought it you will have to pay the sales tax. If you want to register it in Texas later you will only pay the registration fees. Remember if you buy a car once-- you only pay tax once. And as far as I know if at the time of sale/purchase you were legally a resident of NE and that's where the sale took place that is the state you have to pay the sales tax to.

Christy Tirabassi: You will not need to pay tax twice. Which state has the lower tax, can you wait till you get to TX to do the registration
