How to Reduce the Redness of Sunburn

A bad sunburn can be painful, irritating, and tough to get rid of
quickly. We've looked into it for you, and the very best thing you can
do to diminish the intense redness is to take actions to properly heal
and conceal your skin. After this, ease your discomfort with
medication, cool temperatures, and other remedies. Prevent yourself
from burning next time by protecting your skin with sunscreen and
protective clothing, and by practicing awareness.
Method
1
Healing and Concealing Sunburns
1
Drink a lot of water. Try to drink at least 10 full glasses of water
each day for a week after your sunburn. This will help your body to
re-hydrate which will, in turn, aid in the healing process. Drinking
water while you are out in the sun will also help you to avoid
heatstroke and other heat-related medical conditions.[1]
At the same time, make sure to avoid consuming any alcohol during your
recovery period. This will only dehydrate you and dry out your skin
even more.
2
Apply aloe vera. This is the traditional go-to remedy when dealing
with a burn. The gel of the aloe vera plant has natural
anti-inflammatory properties and can speed up the healing process if
applied correctly. You can buy a store-brand aloe, but it is best to
use the gel directly from a plant when possible.[3]
To remove the gel from a plant, break off a single full stem. Cut the
stem open lengthwise. Open the stem and scrape out the gel using a
spoon or your finger. Apply the gel to your skin between 2-3 times a
day.[4]
For extra relief, you could also fill up an ice cube tray with aloe
vera and freeze it, making aloe cubes that you can rub on your burn.
(Wrap the cubes in a light hand towel before touching them to your
skin). You can also apply aloe gel to your face in an overnight
mask.[5]
3
Create a baking soda paste. Get out a small bowl and mix equal parts
baking soda and cornstarch. Add cool water until it reaches a thick
enough consistency to apply to your skin. Both of these primary
ingredients may take some of the redness out the burned areas. Rinse
the paste and reapply as needed to soothe your skin.
4
Use witch hazel. You can use the leaves and bark of the witch hazel
plant for medicinal purposes. The "tannins" contained in witch hazel
may help to repel bacteria and promote healing. Look for a vial of
witch hazel extract at your local natural foods store. Use a cotton
ball to apply the extract to your skin.
5
Apply apple cider vinegar to the area. You can fill up a bottle and
spray the vinegar directly on your skin for relief. Or, you can soak
cotton balls in vinegar and place them on your skin. Vinegar is a
known anti-inflammatory, so it may speed up the healing process.[8]
Be aware that some people react badly to apple cider vinegar. It is a
good idea to apply a small amount on the back of your hand, via a
cotton ball, before putting it all over your body. This will allow you
to watch your body's reaction on a small scale to make sure you will
be okay.
6
Apply potato slices to the area. Many natural healers swear that
potatoes can reduce pain and inflammation. Get a few potatoes and use
a knife to cut them into thin slices. Then, place these slices on the
burnt areas of your skin. Rotate the slices until you feel some
relief.[9]
You can also dice or shred a potato and place it into a blender. Blend
for a few pulses and then apply the resulting paste (being careful to
include the potato juices) onto your skin.
Make sure to carefully wash the potatoes before slicing or dicing.
7
Apply live cultured yogurt. This one is a bit of a long-shot but, if
nothing else, the cool temperature of the yogurt may soothe your skin.
Get out a cup of plain, probiotic yogurt and apply a light coating to
your burned skin using a cotton ball. Let the yogurt sit on your skin
for around 5 minutes before wiping off with a clean damp towel.[10]
8
Wear loose and dark clothing. Light, cotton garments that fall away
from the skin are your best options during your recovery period. These
items will let your skin breathe, preventing stagnation and lessening
the possibility of infection. Stick to darker colors as they will draw
less attention to your skin. Avoid whites and neon colors as they will
create contrast with the redness, making it more noticeable.[11]
9
Use make-up to cover the redness. Apply a green-tinted primer to the
burned areas to counterbalance the appearance of redness. Don't apply
blush as it will only increase the red look. Use a light hand with
make-up, however, as you can run the risk of skin irritation.[12]

How to Do Glitter Roots

Glitter roots are the latest party and festival style! This fun and fabulous hairstyle is quick and easy to do, and it uses only a few different products. Begin by styling your hair down, in space buns, or in braids before you get to work on the glitter. Then mix together clear hair gel and chunky glitter to create a glitter gel. Apply the glitter gel to your parting and enjoy your new look! To remove the glitter, simply use hairspray and paper towels, or wash it out with olive oil.

Part your hair down the center for a simple glitter roots style. Comb your hair free of any knots or tangles with a rattail comb and then use the end of the comb to create a straight parting down the center of your scalp. Begin with the end of the comb at the center of your hairline and gently draw it backward, through the middle of your head.[1]
This simple hair down style is great if you want to do glitter roots quickly.

Do space buns for a popular glitter roots look. Glitter roots with space buns is a new twist on a favorite retro hairstyle! Part your hair down the center and tie it into 2 pigtails. Twist each pigtail and coil it into a bun that rests flat on your head. Tie each bun with a hair elastic and use bobby pins to secure any flyaway strands.[2]
Space buns are usually done quite high up, just above your ears. However, you can experiment with different heights to see what style you prefer.

Create 2 braids for a chic glitter roots look. Comb your hair and create 2 braids with 1 on each side of your head. There are plenty of options to choose from, such as regular braids, French braids, or fishtail braids. Any braids that create a parting in your hair will work well with glitter roots.[3]
Spray your braids with hairspray once they are complete to keep them secure.

Try a temporary hair color to help your glitter roots stand out. Get a bright, pastel hair shadow, chalk, or mist to add to your style. Follow the manufacturer's directions closely and apply the temporary color to your parting after you have styled your hair. The temporary color will simply rinse out when you wash out your glitter roots.[4]
Adding a temporary color product is great if you want to achieve a bold, pastel look that can easily be removed when you're ready.

Use a pastel hair dye to create a bold look with your glitter roots. Pastel hair dyes and glitter roots are a popular festival combination! Pick a pastel pink, purple, blue, or green dye depending on the color that you prefer. Bleach your hair first and then mix the dye with white conditioner. Use a tinting brush to add the mixture to your hair, making sure to create an even coating, and then rinse the dye out of your hair once the specified time is up.[5]
Alternatively, visit a hair salon to get your hair professionally dyed.
You can match your hair dye to the glitter if you prefer or choose contrasting colors.

Get chunky hair glitter and clear hair gel. You can find hair glitter for sale at hair product stores, some clothing stores, and online. Pick a type that has large or chunky particles if possible, as these are easier to remove and are less abrasive on your scalp compared to fine particles. Any ordinary, colorless hair gel works well.[6]
There are a variety of different colors of hair glitter available including purple, pink, yellow, orange, green, blue, gold, and silver.
You can mix and match different colors and shapes of glitter to create a combination that you love.
If you can't find hair glitter, you can use regular craft glitter too! The only difference is that hair glitter has an adhesive added which helps it to stick to your hair better.

Mix 3 tbsp (75 g) of clear hair gel with 1 tbsp (20 g) of hair glitter. Get a small bowl and place the clear hair gel and the hair glitter inside. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients until they are thoroughly combined and the glitter looks like it's spread evenly throughout the gel.[7]
You can add more or less glitter depending on how glittery you want your roots to be.

Apply the glitter gel to your parting using a tinting brush or paintbrush. Dip the brush directly into the glitter gel and swirl it slightly so that the brush is covered. Try to get plenty of gel on the brush to ensure that you get an even glitter coating. Begin at your hairline and brush the glitter gel outward from your parting, aiming to get an even cover. Stop adding glitter where your parting ends.[8]
You can make the glitter roots as wide as you like. Some people prefer the glitter to spread towards their space buns, while others prefer a very thin glitter line. If you aren't sure how wide to make your glitter roots, aim for 1 in (2.5 cm) out from each side of your parting.

Add larger, decorative sequins or pieces of glitter to embellish your look. You can keep the glitter roots look simple and just use the glitter gel, or you can add in a few standout elements. Pick out 5-10 of your favorite sequins, large pieces of glitter, or faux rhinestones and place these along your glitter roots. Try to spread these out evenly so that there are a few large, standout elements surrounded by smaller glitter particles.[9]
The extra sequins, glitter, or faux rhinestones will stick to the gel.
Large heart or star-shaped glitter pieces make great additions.

WHAT IS LITECOIN?

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer Internet currency that enables instant, near-zero cost payments to anyone in the world. Litecoin is an open source, global payment network that is fully decentralized without any central authorities. Mathematics secures the network and empowers individuals to control their own finances. Litecoin features faster transaction confirmation times and improved storage efficiency than the leading math-based currency. With substantial industry support, trade volume and liquidity, Litecoin is a proven medium of commerce complementary to Bitcoin.

Litecoin is an open source software project released under the MIT/X11 license which gives you the power to run, modify, and copy the software and to distribute, at your option, modified copies of the software. The software is released in a transparent process that allows for independent verification of binaries and their corresponding source code.

The Litecoin blockchain is capable of handling higher transaction volume than its counterpart - Bitcoin. Due to more frequent block generation, the network supports more transactions without a need to modify the software in the future.
As a result, merchants get faster confirmation times, while still having ability to wait for more confirmations when selling bigger ticket items.

Miners are currently awarded with 25 new litecoins per block, an amount which gets halved roughly every 4 years (every 840,000 blocks).
The Litecoin network is therefore scheduled to produce 84 million litecoins, which is 4 times as many currency units as Bitcoin.

3 Best Cryptocurrency Exchanges In The World To Buy Any Altcoins

Slowly and steadily, Bitcoin and altcoins are getting attention from more investors all around the world.

And why not? These cryptocurrencies are time and again proving themselves to be a safe haven against government's inflationary policies.

That's why some people are even securing cryptocurrencies as their retirement funds, while some are doing pure speculation with short-term trading (i.e. buy low, sell high).

And let's not forget about those who are just starting off by looking around to find the answer to questions like:

But before we talk about the best exchanges out there, I need to tell you that it's not too late to get invested in cryptocurrencies. At the time of this writing, the Bitcoin and altcoin market is at an all-time high, with a market cap of $166 billion. I believe we will cross the $250 billion mark later this year.

So now that you know you should invest, here's where you need to go to do that.

Here is a consolidated list of best cryptocurrency exchanges with my comments:

Binance:Offers mobile app and probably the fastest growing exchange. If you need to pick only one, this is the best and #1 in 2019.
Bittrex: Another high-quality exchange with a lot of coins
KuCoin: One of the strongest exchange that also offers a mobile app (Android and iOS). They have been constantly updating their mobile app to make it one of the best in the industry.

How to Help Someone with Anger Issues

Anger is a common emotion and can easily spiral into rage, so there's
a chance you will someday encounter a friend, family member, or
partner who has trouble controlling their anger. You can help them,
first and foremost, by reeling in your own emotions, as becoming upset
yourself will likely worsen the problem. After responding
appropriately and de-escalating their anger, try motivating them to
get help for their anger. Having a loved one with a fiery temper can
be stressful, so be sure to look after yourself too.

Defusing Tension in the Moment

Stay calm during tense situations. If your loved one gets angry, the
only way you can effectively defuse the situation is by getting a hold
of your own anger. Losing your own temper will only make matters
worse. Breathe in and out deeply. Count silently to 100 or go splash
water on your face to clear your head.[1]

Speak in an even, moderate tone of voice. Lower your voice, so that
it's just above a whisper. Doing this helps you maintain calm without
shouting, but it also reinforces appropriate communication. Your loved
one will likely follow suit and lower their voice, too.[2]

Give your full attention when listening. Many angry people get that
way because they feel no one is listening to them. Turn off your loved
one's angry switch by giving them 100% of your attention. Turn to face
them and hear them out without interrupting.[3]
Being a good listener could help defuse the situation completely. Be
sure to pay attention to the underlying issue.

Show compassion towards the other person. Your loved one may act angry
because they don't believe they are being heard or understood. Be sure
to validate their experience and let them know that you are taking
them seriously and respect their opinions.[4]
Demonstrate your understanding by using reflection techniques. This
might sound like, "I can see why you feel angry about the teller being
rude to you," or "I think I understand the problem. You feel
overlooked."

Assert your boundaries. Insist that your angry loved one treat you
with respect. In a calm and cool manner, say something like, "I will
leave if you don't stop shouting," or "I won't continue this
conversation if you engage in name-calling."[5]
Once a boundary has been communicated, be firm and follow through if
the person crosses the line.

Use "I" statements to discuss the problem. You want to steer clear of
criticism or blame, so interact using "I" statements that convey your
needs without placing blame. These statements don't attack the other
person, but they do let you communicate how you feel about the
issue.[6]
For example, instead of saying "You are always shouting at me!" say "I
feel anxious when you shout. Can we try to use indoor voices?"

Resist the urge to give advice. Angry people often view advice as
criticism, so avoid trying to fix their problem. Just actively listen.
If you want to try to work out whether your loved one merely wants to
vent or needs a solution, ask them— after they've finished talking.[7]
You might ask, "Do you want help with the problem or did you just want
to get everything off your chest?" before you try to offer advice. Or,
you could say, "I understand your anger. How can I help?"
If your loved one tends to view you as critical, save your solutions
for another time when they've cooled off.

Take a break if you need one. If you feel under attack or overwhelmed
during communication with an angry person, ask for a timeout. You
might say, "I don't think we're going to reach an agreement if we're
shouting at each other. Let's take 10, okay?" Go someplace where you
feel safe and get your own emotions under control.[8]
Listen to soft music, watch a silly YouTube video, or call someone who
tends to calm you down.
